Announcement for Selected Tanzania Police Recruits: Majina Walioitwa Kujiunga na Jeshi la Polisi

The Tanzania Police Force has officially called on young people selected to join the force to report for training at Moshi Police School. Reporting dates are set from June 12 to June 14, 2025. This announcement provides essential details on where and when recruits must appear, what to bring, and important rules to follow.

Reporting Locations and Dates

For recruits interviewed in Dar es Salaam:
  • Report on June 12, 2025, at 12:00 noon to the parade ground at Police Barracks, Kilwa Road, behind Kilwa Road Police Station. From here, recruits will be transported to Moshi Police School.
For those interviewed in Tanzania Mainland regions:
  • Report to your respective Regional Police Commander on June 11, 2025, at 2:00 am for travel arrangements to Moshi.
  • For Zanzibar recruits (Unguja and Pemba):
  • Report to the Zanzibar Police Headquarters (Ziwani) on June 11, 2025, at 2:00 am to coordinate travel.

What to Bring to Moshi Police School

All selected recruits must come prepared with the following items:

  • Clothing:

    • Blue tracksuit with white collar

    • Plain white T-shirt

    • Rubber sandals

    • Black socks

    • Two blue sports/exercise bags

    • Blue metal box

  • Bedding and personal items:

    • White round mosquito net (no square nets)

    • Four light blue sheets

    • Charcoal iron

    • One plain grey blanket (no floral designs, not a duvet)

    • Plastic bone-colored cup (cream light)

    • One steel dish plate

  • Cleaning supplies:

    • One broom with handle

    • Two small buckets

    • One dustpan

  • Documents and fees:

    • NHIF card if available, or TZS 50,400 for those without NHIF

    • Original academic certificates

    • Original birth certificate

    • NIDA card or National ID

    • Copies of NIDA/ID cards for parents and close relatives (father’s and mother’s side)

    • Six passport-size photos (blue background)

    • Five copies of each document mentioned above

  • Living expenses as necessary.

Important Rules

  1. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited on campus. Anyone found with a phone will face immediate expulsion from the training program. The school will provide a process for communication access.
  2. Recruits arriving after June 14, 2025, will not be admitted and will be considered withdrawn from the training.
