DHL Supply Chain South Africa is hiring for a Technical Specialist – Infrastructure & Service Management based in Tanzania.
Role Summary
The ISM Technical Specialist supports the Country ISM Lead in managing IT Infrastructure and Service Management at the national level. The goal is to deliver reliable and cost-effective IT services for internal operations, customers, and projects. The role involves implementing standardized infrastructure and service frameworks, ensuring compliance, protecting company assets, and delivering project-based IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the country IT ISM Lead in achieving goals within scope, quality, budget, and time.
- Implement and track ISM strategies aligned with regional direction.
- Provide ISM implementation support for existing and new customers.
- Deliver IT services as per agreed SLA in terms of quality and cost.
- Support compliance with corporate policies, licensing, and asset management.
- Manage and coordinate internal and external IT suppliers.
- Maintain documentation: SOPs, IT Asset Registers, network maps, project plans, etc.
- Provide implementation support for IT projects.
- Contribute to service improvement through incident analysis and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric certificate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- ITIL certification and knowledge of ISM methodologies.
- Familiar with project management principles.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in logistics/supply chain or a fast-paced industry.
- At least 2 years’ experience in an ISM technical role.
- Basic to strong understanding of IT Infrastructure (Telecoms, Network, Desktop, Hosting).
- Familiarity with supply chain applications like WMS and TMS is preferred.
- Prior DHL or logistics sector experience is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a multinational team.
