Vodacom Tanzania is seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Manager – Cyber Defence under its Technology business area. Role Purpose
The Manager – Cyber Defence will be responsible for overseeing cyber defence operations and intelligence for Vodacom Tanzania. The role involves proactive monitoring for cyber threats, penetration testing, incident response, and recovery strategies to ensure the security and integrity of company systems and data.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning, demand forecasting, and execution for Cyber Security Defence across all current and future technologies.
- Manage the continuous monitoring of internal and external cyber threats and coordinate proactive threat hunting activities.
- Lead vulnerability management and patch management programs to ensure robust protection against known threats.
- Oversee penetration testing to identify and mitigate system weaknesses before they can be exploited.
- Coordinate all cyber security incident responses, forensic investigations, and ensure root cause analysis and evidence chain of custody.
Qualifications and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related domain.
- Deep technical understanding of cyber security technologies, tools, and general IT systems.
- Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in cyber defence operations.
- Familiarity with legal, regulatory, and privacy compliance standards such as GDPR and PCI DSS.
- Recognized security certification such as OSDA, CISSP (strongly preferred).
