Role Purpose
The Stock Controller is responsible for leading inventory, warehousing, and logistics operations at the Moshi site. This includes ensuring accurate stock levels, timely reporting, effective team leadership, and process compliance with SBL and Diageo global standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customers, Staff & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and complete order deliveries (OTIFNE).
- Manage relationships with 3PL providers, Commercial, and MAKE teams.
- Report and analyze warehouse KPIs and staff performance.
- Coordinate interdepartmental activities and ensure team workloads are balanced.
2. Full Goods Inventory Management
- Post fulls received from production and other suppliers into SAP.
- Record warehouse and transit breakages (primary breakages) daily.
- Reconcile SAP records against physical stock daily and secure approvals.
- Handle stock accident reports and initiate debit notes where necessary.
- Oversee reconciliation of SIT plant stock weekly.
3. Empties Management
- Manage real-time posting of returned empties and daily reconciliations.
- Maintain an up-to-date tracker of empties and secure sign-off with distributors.
- Monitor physical vs. SAP (book) balances daily.
4. Raw Materials & Components Management
- Ensure prompt and accurate goods receipt and secure material storage.
- Resolve non-conformances and returns with Finance and Procurement.
- Weekly SAP vs. physical reconciliations.
- Monitor re-order levels and recommend disposal of obsolete/slow-moving items.
5. Yard Management
- Oversee safe and compliant yard operations.
- Track service provider KPIs and conduct performance reviews.
- Set supplier targets aligned with operational plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Management.
- Experience in logistics, inventory, or warehouse operations.
- Strong leadership, time management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret data and use ERP systems like SAP.
