This role supports BRAC's integrated development programs that uplift adolescent girls and young women through scalable and sustainable economic empowerment initiatives.
Purpose of the Role
The IT Infrastructure Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes network systems, servers, storage devices, and cloud components. The role ensures reliability, security, and availability of BRAC’s infrastructure to support its development and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage onboarding for employees including provisioning of IT assets and required software applications.
- Collaborate with application, helpdesk, and security teams to support infrastructure requirements.
- Administer user accounts, access controls, and ensure proper system configuration.
- Manage mobile device management (MDM) and directory services.
- Execute patch management processes to keep all systems updated.
- Maintain and track IT hardware and software inventory.
- Ensure secure and consistent network performance including antivirus and firewall protection.
- Monitor IT infrastructure using relevant tools; troubleshoot proactively based on system logs and alerts.
- Enforce IT security controls and conduct regular assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Log and manage IT infrastructure incidents and service requests through Jira Service Desk.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades and software patching activities.
- Generate performance and capacity reports as needed.
- Conduct training sessions for users and fellow IT staff.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and internal IT security policies.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Promote and ensure a safe and secure work environment in compliance with BRAC's safeguarding policies.
- Act as a focal point for safeguarding support and implementation.
- Report any safeguarding concerns according to internal procedures.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in network and infrastructure roles.
- Demonstrated experience in network devices, mobile device and application management.
- Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification is an added advantage.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and remotely with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Familiarity with development program operations is an added advantage.
- Proven capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
