Job Title: Business Development Manager
Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of loans, advances, deposits, and alternative products across NBC branches. The role includes managing sales activities, supporting and training branch sales officers, and ensuring consistent business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
A. Business Soliciting – Acquisition/Recruitment
- Recruit and acquire new customers
- Visit existing customers frequently
- Ensure all customer acquisition points function smoothly
- Identify business growth sectors in the locality
- Conduct KYC and risk reviews for new customers
- Provide feedback on product performance to Head of Customer Network
- Collaborate with Corporate, Institutional, and Business Banking teams
- Address customer queries related to business matters
B. Deposit Mobilization
- Analyze business dynamics to grow deposit base
- Supervise deposit campaigns at branches
- Continuously solicit deposits to meet targets
- Follow up on branch activity calendar
C. Cross Selling
- Sell a wide range of NBC products including mobile, internet, and agent banking, insurance, loans, FX, and transfers
- Collect market intelligence on competition and service levels
D. Relationship Management
- Lead customer engagement activities
- Meet potential clients to build loyalty and trust
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships
- Attend client social occasions and manage ongoing interactions
- Reduce customer churn by ensuring satisfaction and retention
E. Reports, Monitoring & Turnaround
- Maintain a database of high-net-worth customers
- Monitor business growth KPIs
- Oversee loan turnaround time and support recovery
- Provide inputs to Stressed Asset Management and recovery teams
F. Coaching and Mentoring
- Coach and monitor branch sales team
- Track and report performance against KPIs
Other Duties
- Contribute to branch sales budget planning
- Prepare reports and business proposals for approval
- Handle tasks as assigned by Branch Manager
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of banking experience
- Strong knowledge of banking products and regulatory environment
