Position: IT Support Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Support Engineer to join our team in Dar es Salaam. This role requires a dynamic individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver services according to the ITIL v3 (Level 3) framework and support the client’s IT execution processes.
- Install and configure hardware, software, networks, and applications.
- Monitor and maintain systems and networks consistently.
- Respond to support calls and explain solutions clearly to staff or clients.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system, network, and software/hardware issues.
- Support the rollout of new applications and maintain IT documentation.
- Provide both onsite and remote IT support to clients.
- Manage LANs, WANs, Internet, and intranet systems.
- Install and upgrade software, back up files, and configure systems.
- Log and document all client requests, resolutions, and follow-ups.
- Develop help sheets and knowledge base articles for users.
- Conduct problem trend analysis and test system fixes.
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in ITILv3 or ITILv4 is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience supporting multinational staff.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and customer service abilities.
- Logical, strategic, and methodical approach to IT tasks.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
