Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Branch Manager to lead its branch operations in Dar es Salaam. The role is focused on achieving retail and SME financial targets while ensuring high standards in service delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
Job Purpose
To oversee branch performance and meet financial targets through effective sales and service management. The Branch Manager will also ensure seamless operations in collaboration with the Centralized Operations unit, adhering to internal policies and Bank of Tanzania (BOT) guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve all assigned financial targets for the branch.
- Lead and supervise branch operations and support functions by motivating and guiding staff to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Design and execute marketing and business development initiatives to grow the branch portfolio.
- Assess and manage staffing needs with well-structured roles, job descriptions, and optimal resource allocation.
- Monitor administrative activities and promote cost-effectiveness across branch operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of internal and regulatory reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, or Marketing.
- A Master’s Degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role involving sales and business development.
Required Competencies
- Strong marketing and sales capabilities.
- Effective leadership with strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
- High level of self-motivation, responsiveness, and a positive attitude.
- Comprehensive understanding of the banking industry, market trends, and e-banking developments.
- Sound knowledge of compliance regulations including AML and KYC.
- Familiarity with the bank’s operational procedures.
- Ability to work independently and handle complex tasks in a dynamic environment.
