NMB Bank Plc, one of the leading commercial banks in Tanzania licensed by the Bank of Tanzania, is seeking to recruit a highly qualified and motivated professional to fill the role of Zonal Relationship Manager in the Western Zone.

Job Purpose
To contribute to Government Business’ growth and profitability with extensive focus on Western Zone business development activities for both new and existing government clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive growth and profitability through new business development across the Western Zone.
- Collaborate with internal business units to implement the zone’s business penetration strategy, with a focus on acquiring key project deals and delivering financial solutions.
- Support the preparation of competitive proposals, including pricing, and ensure internal approvals are secured before submission.
- Maintain and update long-term Government Business penetration plans for the zone.
- Provide expert advisory support to Regional Government Officials and internal teams to foster client retention and market expansion.
- Lead marketing intelligence efforts and advise management on Western Zone development initiatives.
- Manage a portfolio of government business clients, deliver consultative product solutions, and conduct annual relationship reviews.
- Assist in crafting and executing zonal business initiatives in line with the bank’s strategy.
- Support the Zonal Manager on matters requiring Government Business or Head Office collaboration.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of banking operations, relationship management, and government transactions.
- Excellent knowledge of government project dynamics and banking sector trends.
- Proven technical skills in sales negotiation, financial analysis, stakeholder engagement, and client relationship management.
- Behavioral competencies including effective communication, formal presentation, partnership building, and people management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in relationship management within banking or financial services, especially with government or institutional clients.
- Experience in managing sensitive client portfolios and delivering investment or financial solutions.
