What You’ll Do

Maximize sales revenue by working through and with distributors, dealers and other partners within the assigned territory. Work alongside distributors and staff to carry out all the activities required to achieve set targets. Monitor stock levels both at distributor level and in the trade; identify gaps in the distribution chain and escalate to management. Responsible for generating revenue by closing sales and selling products and services directly to customers, primarily via face-to-face contact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the achievement of agreed sales and revenue targets through distributors, dealers, and other partners reselling Vodacom’s products and services.
  • Implement sales and distribution activities in the assigned territory.
  • Coordinate the distribution of Vodacom products to ensure continuous availability.
  • Manage the distribution of branding and promotional materials to enhance visibility and build loyalty.
  • Identify requirements for trade promotions and recommend them to management.
  • Implement and support promotional activities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and recommend appropriate responses.
  • Support distribution partners in developing and implementing action plans.
  • Coach dealer staff and monitor their performance.
  • Train distribution partners on Vodacom’s products and services.
  • Ensure implementation and maintenance of retail execution and distributor operating standards including availability, stocking, pricing, and POS standards.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on sales trends and dealer performance.
  • Gather market intelligence and report on competitor activities.


Qualification, Experience, Competencies and Knowledge

  1. University degree or equivalent training in business or sales management
  2. Ability to work under pressure with short-term targets
  3. High level of integrity and work ethics
  4. Excellent presentation and communication skills
  5. Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  6. Ability to operate in a performance-driven organization
  7. Clean driving license
  8. Good knowledge of Vodacom’s products/services and pricing practices
  9. Business acumen with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  10. Excellent planning and stakeholder management skills
