Airtel Tanzania Limited, a leading mobile network operator and subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, is looking for a highly motivated Key Account Manager to drive growth in the public sector. Airtel Tanzania holds a significant share of the mobile market and aims to strengthen its position by expanding revenue from key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Grow revenue by acquiring new business from the public sector and increase public sector accounts revenue by 30% year on year.
- Maintain public sector accounts contributing 40% of total business revenue.
- Capture new businesses from competitors and new market entrants.
- Develop and maintain an evolving target list of organizations not currently served by Airtel Tanzania.
- Plan and execute effective sales calls and presentations to match customer needs with Airtel’s products and services.
- Write, submit, and follow up on tenders and proposals.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Airtel Tanzania’s products and services to support sales efforts.
- Keep accurate sales records and prepare regular sales reports.
- Maximize sales opportunities with existing clients by promoting new and improved products and services.
- Maintain close client contact to understand and meet their needs.
- Proactively manage accounts to minimize debts and reduce customer churn.
- Collaborate with marketing to suggest new product development and promotional strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with corporate clients, representing Airtel as a professional and reliable partner.
- Ensure timely and accurate entry of customer information into Airtel’s database.
- Achieve agreed retention targets within public sector accounts.
- Serve as the main point of contact for all public sector account sales-related issues.
Qualifications
- University degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or equivalent.
- IT literacy is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to work in a performance-driven organization.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Public Sector Sales.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance sectors preferred.
