Mwanga Hakika Bank is looking for a dynamic and experienced banking professional to lead its Dodoma branch as a Branch Manager. This role is ideal for a results-driven individual with strong leadership, sales, and operational management experience in the banking sector.

Purpose of the Role
The Branch Manager will be responsible for ensuring branch profitability, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer service. This includes leading a team of banking professionals, overseeing daily operations, managing branch finances, and contributing to business development.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Oversee daily branch operations in compliance with Bank of Tanzania (BOT) regulations
- Ensure staff productivity and operational efficiency, including oversight of loans and credit lines
- Maintain accurate transaction records, including inter-bank transactions
- Handle complex issues and coordinate with other branches for seamless customer service
- Prepare statutory and management reports as required
Business Development and Sales
- Drive sales of banking products and services
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities in the local market
- Monitor retail product performance and recommend adjustments
- Grow the branch's customer base and meet sales targets
Customer Service and Relationship Management
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and foster a service-driven culture
- Mentor staff in delivering exceptional customer service
- Provide financial advisory support to clients and team members
- Authorize payments and ensure transaction compliance
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate the branch team
- Set performance goals and manage team development
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven team culture
Financial Responsibilities
- Oversee branch financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory standards
- Implement and track branch fiscal plans
Compliance and Security
- Ensure compliance with banking laws, internal policies, and KYC standards
- Maintain branch security and safeguard customer data
- Keep accurate records for regulatory and audit purposes
Administrative and Miscellaneous Tasks
- Oversee administrative tasks and equipment maintenance
- Propose improvements to branch processes
- Participate in special projects or assignments from senior management
Coaching & Mentoring
- Coach the sales team to enhance performance and meet targets
- Monitor and report performance against KPIs
Qualifications and Requirements
Academic Background
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldExperience
Minimum 5 years in banking, ideally with exposure to business development, operations, or branch leadershipKey Competencies
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service, communication, and networking abilities
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations and financial regulations
