Job Purpose
Kilombero Sugar Company Limited is seeking a Project Services Specialist to oversee the execution of project activities within the K3.1 Project. The role ensures timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality project delivery while supporting the Project Site Execution Manager (PSEM) in managing schedules and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Coordination
- Ensure all project activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in full.
- Keep the PSEM informed on project execution schedule deviations.
- Support the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractor in meeting contract requirements.
Engineering & Planning Oversight
- Develop and agree on engineering review processes with the EPC Contractor.
- Coordinate project scheduling, tracking, and reporting.
- Ensure all feedback and documentation are recorded and communicated efficiently.
- Monitor witness and hold point activities with the PSEM.
Contract & Compliance Management
- Ensure EPC contract compliance, preventing unnecessary extensions or cost variations.
- Track and validate all changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Work closely with Legal Counsel to review and escalate contract-related documents.
- Manage the third-party milestone approval process to align with payment schedules.
Risk Management & Reporting
- Identify and address risks affecting the execution program.
- Implement planning and scheduling tools to monitor progress.
- Provide concise feedback and reports to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Project Management.
- 5+ years of experience in a heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in large-scale EPC project management and process implementation.
- Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience working in a culturally diverse environment.
