Job Summary
ENGIE Energy Access, the leading PAYGO and mini-grids solutions provider in Africa, is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Analyst. This role supports the development and implementation of effective remuneration and benefits strategies, ensuring our competitive edge in attracting and retaining talent.
Key Responsibilities
Business Cases & Reporting:
- Prepare offers, promotions, and allowance business cases for review by the Head of Compensation and Benefits COE.
- Develop and maintain integrated Human Capital reports for stakeholders and prepare management information reports.
Policy & System Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of remuneration, benefits, and administrative policies, systems, and procedures.
- Support the management and maintenance of HR information systems for accurate data recording and processing.
Market & Data Analysis:
- Contribute to establishing the organization’s salary range structure and fringe benefits, ensuring market competitiveness.
- Analyze and update salary scales annually based on market benchmarks and trends.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Establish and nurture relationships with heads of business units and key stakeholders to understand and address compensation and benefits issues.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
Remuneration Process:
- Provide guidance on remuneration policies and deliver the annual remuneration process, including bonus and salary increments.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
- 3–4 years in HR compensation and benefits across multiple markets.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in advanced computer skills, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and related software systems.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of compensation and benefits practices, job evaluation methodologies, and both local and international labour laws.
- Deep rewards and benefits knowledge with a demonstrated ability to analyze trends and data.
Additional Skills:
- Excellent analytical, statistical, and qualitative skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, independently, and in an ambiguous environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; good conversational French is a plus.
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- Professional membership with a remuneration body (e.g., Certified Global Remuneration Practitioner) is highly advantageous.
