Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill twenty (20) positions for Mechanical Artisan II (Carriage and Wagon Examiner).
The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out mechanical artisan duties related to carriage and wagon examination, maintenance, and workshop operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain rolling stock including coaches and wagons;
- Maintain workshop machinery and plants;
- Service handling equipment and ancillary plants;
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Holder of a Form Four Certificate;
- Must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Trade Test II / Level II
- National Vocational Award II (NVA II)
- NTA Level 4 or Level 5 Certificate
- Qualification must be in:
- Carriage and Wagon Mechanical Technology
- Carriage and Wagon Technology
- Or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
