Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill ten (10) positions for Artisan II – Mechanical (Diesel-Mechanical Locomotive).
The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting locomotive maintenance, workshop operations, and mechanical servicing activities within the railway corporation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain rolling stock and locomotives;
- Maintain workshop machinery and plants;
- Service refrigeration and air conditioning facilities;
- Service handling equipment and ancillary plants;
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Holder of a Form Four Certificate;
- Must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Trade Test II
- Level II
- Level III
- National Vocational Award II (NVA II)
- Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4)
- The qualification must be in:
- Locomotive Engineering; or
- Equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
