Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out technical duties related to railway signal and telecommunication systems and infrastructure.
- Plan, design, construct, and maintain signal and telecommunication equipment and systems.
- Oversee utilization and expansion of fibre optic cable along the railway network.
- Install, maintain, and repair SGR/MGR signals and telecommunication network equipment.
- Participate in accident investigations together with other departments.
- Maintain train control systems and electronic warrant systems.
- Support maintenance of cargo and wagon tracking systems.
- Maintain yard radio systems and underground cables.
- Maintain internal office communication systems.
- Assist in preparing reports, plans, and designs for S&T projects.
- Prepare project quantity and cost estimates.
- Submit periodical technical reports.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:
- Full Technician Certificate (FTC)
- Ordinary Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering
- Equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
Remuneration
Successful candidates will receive salary and benefits according to the TRCS 3 salary scale.
