The Office of the Resident Representative provides strategic leadership and coordination for UNDP operations in Tanzania. The internship position will support executive coordination and office management functions within the Resident Representative’s Office.
Position Purpose
The Executive Intern will support the Executive Associate and senior leadership offices by assisting with daily coordination activities, document management, meeting follow-ups, scheduling, correspondence tracking, travel arrangements, and administrative support.
This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to executive-level operations, UNDP systems, and strategic management within an international development environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Track action points from meetings involving the Resident Representative and Deputy Resident Representatives.
- Maintain and update action-tracking matrices.
- Support portfolio tracking, including activities, budgets, and workplan progress.
- Provide timely updates and reports for the RR Office.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems according to UNDP standards.
- Support scheduling and coordination of monthly Town Hall meetings.
- Prepare draft documents and internal working materials.
- Ensure proper review and clearance of documents before circulation.
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist with official travel arrangements and related documentation.
- Coordinate conference room bookings and meeting logistics.
- Monitor national and global news updates relevant to the RR Office.

Required Education and Qualifications
Applicants must meet one of the following educational requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (Master’s level or higher).
- Currently enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree programme.
- Recently graduated from a university degree programme and able to start the internship within one year of graduation.
- Enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme.
