Introduction

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) of Tanzania, established under Article 112(1) of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania (1977) and governed by the Judiciary Administration Act CAP 237, is the legal body responsible for strengthening justice delivery in the country. JSC invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill 80 vacancies for the post of Msaidizi wa Kumbukumbu II (Records Management Assistant II). This is a chance to build a meaningful career in Tanzania’s legal and administrative system.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must:

  • Be a Tanzanian citizen aged 18–45 years
  • Possess a Form IV or Form VI certificate
  • Hold a Diploma or NTA Level 6 in Records Management or Law from a recognized institution
  • Have computer literacy skills
  • Have no criminal record or previous termination from public service

Duties and Responsibilities

General Records Management:

  • Record incoming and outgoing correspondence in official registers
  • Distribute and retrieve files to and from officers
  • Ensure proper file storage and tracking
  • Monitor file circulation and usage

Court-Related Support:

  • Receive and process documents for opening criminal and civil cases
  • Prepare summons for relevant court proceedings
  • Compile weekly case hearing lists and manage related files

Work Station

Successful candidates will be posted to the Judiciary of Tanzania (Mahakama ya Tanzania) across various regional and district courts where vacancies exist.
