Job Summary
Fema Mining & Drilling Limited is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join its team. The successful candidate will fabricate, assemble, install, maintain, and repair heavy-metal structures, including boilers, tanks, and heat exchangers. The position also involves preventative maintenance, welding, and general inspection of equipment while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Undergo practical training and assessment before being considered for the role.
- Read and interpret blueprints and manuals for required work.
- Cast, bend, weld, and assemble metal parts for structures and boilers.
- Operate power tools and machinery for metal fabrication.
- Install and maintain boilers, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Complete safety checklists and maintain boiler logs.
- Comply with relevant safety standards and workplace regulations.
- Report faults and equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Work proactively as part of the mining operations team.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Certificate from a recognized technical training institution.
- Secondary School Education (CSEE) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in boilermaking is preferred.
- Must pass a site test before appointment.
Additional Requirements
- Physically and mentally fit for the role.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
- Valid NIDA ID/Number and TIN Number from the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- Introduction letter from the local government and two referees’ letters.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in Kiswahili or English.
