Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC) is inviting applications from qualified Tanzanians to fill 10 Locomotive Driver II positions. Successful candidates will be responsible for locomotive driving and shunting duties within assigned railway areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform shunting duties within station yards, sidings, and running depots within the home station;
- Check locomotive fitness before use;
- Report any problem noted in the locomotive during the course of driving;
- Record all important events occurring during shunting operations;
- Record fuel balance at the start and end of shunting duties; and
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- Holder of a Form IV Certificate;
- Locomotive Driving Certificate or Locomotive Shunting Certificate from TIRTEC or any recognized institution;
- Valid Class F or G Driving License.
