The College of Business Education (CBE) invites applications from qualified and experienced Tanzanians to fill five (5) Librarian II positions on a one-year employment contract.
CBE is a Public Higher Learning Institution established under Act No. 315 R.E of 2002. The institution provides teaching, research, and consultancy services in various business-related fields including Accountancy, Procurement and Supplies, Marketing Management, ICT, Metrology and Standardization.
Available Position
Librarian II – 5 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertake bibliographic searches on behalf of users;
- Promote the use of IT in meeting user needs;
- Research on the information needs of users;
- Undertake research and consultancy activities in library and information matters;
- Handle professional and supervisory duties in the library;
- Participate in developing new library systems and procedures;
- Identify materials to be ordered by the librarian; and
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields:
- Library Studies
- Library and Information Science
- Information Studies
- Documentation
- Information Management
Salary Scale: PGSS 6.1
